Pursuant to Alabama Act No. 2001-956, Enterprise State Community College seeks proposals from qualified professionals licensed in the State of Alabama to provide architectural and/or engineering services for various upgrades to Forrester and Sessions Hall.

Project Scope and Description: The scope of work shall include, but not be limited to, architectural and/or engineering services for renovations and upgrades to Forrester and Sessions Halls.

Renovations in Forrester Hall include minor demolition, upgrading mechanical and electrical systems, lighting, interior finishes upgrades, toilet renovations, interior renovations, doors and hardware, replacing ceiling tiles, painting, renovation of a large auditorium-style classroom, furniture and signage. Possible exterior improvements shall include cleaning of brick and replacement of doors and window systems.

Construction value is $1.0M each / $2.0M total for the project.

Qualifications: Enterprise State Community College will select the most qualified design professional as outlined in the Manual of Procedures, 2001 Edition, prepared by the Alabama Building Commission. Applicants must clearly demonstrate successful experience in delivering fully integrated facilities in a functional, economical and effective manner. Applicants must provide documented success in construction cost management, thorough, accurate and timely services and document production.

All applicable State of Alabama State of Alabama Building Commission procedures as well as any other applicable requirements from funding sources shall be utilized on this project. Act 2001-955 requires a disclosure statement to be filed with all proposals, bids, contracts, or grant proposals submitted to the state of Alabama in excess of $5,000.

Act 2011-535 (Alabama Immigration Law) imposes conditions on the award of state contracts. Those requirements are effective 1 January 2012 for contracts receiving state funds. Proposers must agree to fully comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as amended by the Immigration Act of 1990 and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. Architects and Engineers should review and adhere to these guidelines as appropriate to their project type.
