ADVERTISEMENT FOR A/E REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Pursuant to Alabama Act No. 2001-956, Enterprise State Community College seeks proposals from qualified professionals licensed in the State of Alabama to provide architectural and/or engineering services in the development of a comprehensive facilities master plan, demolition and salvage of existing buildings, renovation of existing lab spaces, relocation of existing programs, roof replacement, creation of a “one-stop” center and miscellaneous site renovations throughout Aviation campus (Ozark, AL).
Qualifications: Enterprise State Community College will select the most qualified design professional as outlined in the Manual of Procedures, 2001 Edition, prepared by the Alabama Building Commission. Applicants must clearly demonstrate successful experience in delivering fully integrated facilities in a functional, economical and effective manner. Applicants must provide documented success in construction cost management, thorough, accurate and timely services and document production.
Act 2011-535 (Alabama Immigration Law) imposes conditions on the award of State contracts. Those requirements are effective 1 January 2012 for contracts receiving State funds. Proposers must agree to fully comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986, as amended by the Immigration Act of 1990, and the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and Citizen Protection Act. Architects and Engineers should review and adhere to these guidelines as appropriate to their project type. Project Scope and Description: Project Scope and Description: Development of a comprehensive facilities master plan which may include the following goals: demolition and salvage of existing buildings, renovation of existing lab spaces, relocation of existing programs, roof replacements, creation of a “one-stop” center and miscellaneous site renovations throughout Aviation campus (Ozark, AL). Upon successful creation of the Master Plan, work on identified projects will immediately progress into Basic Services as outlined in the Alabama Building Commission Manual of Procedures. Estimated construction Cost is $2,373,300. Total project cost is $2,871,693.

Enterprise State Community College reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to solicit additional proposals through the RFQ process if that is determined to be in the best interest of the State of Alabama.
